Kyoto on expired film

Two rolls of Portra 400 that expired in 2009, a rangefinder whose meter only works when it feels like it, and four days in July. Twenty-four frames survived.

Expired film shifts towards magenta and loses about a stop. Kyoto in July is mostly green and white. The combination is kinder than it sounds.
